Rangers saw off the challenge of a resilent Liverpool, Ally McCoist and Ryan Giggs putting Rangers 2-0 up before former Rangers striker Kris Boyd got one back for the reds. Rangers held out and booked their place in the final while in the other match the stroy was much the same, England International Wayne Rooney scoring Two earkly goals and making it appear as if a rout maybe on Celtics hands but the Bhoys rallied and scored what proved to be a consolation as United booked their place in the final, the XFL Double still very much on the cards.
